Traveler
Megan McCormick begins her journey in Java's capital
Jakartab> before traveling west to Anak Krakatau, one of the most volcanically active places on earth. She then heads to Java's cultural heartland, Yogyakarta and Kudos. Flying on to Sumatra she visits the Orangutans at Bukit Lawang Nature Reserve. She ends her journey in the surfing paradise of Pulau Nias.

THE EASTERN ISLANDS:
13,000 floating emerald islands make up the Indonesian archipelago stretching 3,000 miles from Asia to the Pacific. We visit the Eastern Islands, also known as Nusa Tenggarra, which cover only a tiny fraction of this vast country.
Traveler Mark Crowdy starts his Indonesian journey in Bali from where he travels by ferry to climb one of Indonesia's 400 volcanos on the island of Lombok. He then travels east to Komodo to come face to face with its famed dragons and on to the dramatic sulphuric lakes of Flores. Traveling via the Spice Islands of Ambon and Bandu, he ends his journey in Timor.
